Inner wire size is spec. Upon first glance, it looks a little small due to thin insulation. Both strands are copper. One strand has a white line on casing.

I had a little of ths wire left over from 8 years ago, and ordered 2 more bundles for my Home Office/Man Cave wiring. The newer cable has a thinner but more durable covering that makes it even easier to place. I like the white line on one conductor so you can easily identify positive. This is prefect for most home installations.
